New BBC adaption of Sherlock Holmes is on tonight at 9pm, which I have been reliably informed is a modern-day AU with just a smidgeon of homoeroticism to keep the fangirls happy. Which sounds quite lovely to me.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Charlie Brooker and Konnie Huq are going to get married.
The nice good fangirl side of me thinks : OMG CHARLIE AND THE TV PRESENTER I WATCHED EVERYDAY AS A KID... ARE GETTING MARRIED. *SQUISH*
But I have *~*other thoughts*~* which I'm slightly embarrassed about.
Basically that tinhat-part-of-my-brain-that-thought-tha
I physically felt like I'd been punched in the stomach.
And now I feel guilty.
ETA: Now been confirmed by Torygraph
I'm sure that in a few hours I will get over my dissapointment (which I also highly suspect has to do with some projection issues) and I'll be happily writing Charlie/Konnie/Dara.

I'm only half way through so I can't give a complete review but so far this book is much much better than the last one. The plot isn't very deep or original but then again - its porn.
Basically think 'Victorian bodice-ripper with a D/s theme'.
"No no you will never take my maidenhood!!" and stuff like that does make me giggle but it also has its moments of pure hawt which is all I can ask from erotica.
The best thing is that the reader is excellent. She has a lovely clear voice that isn't jarring. She doesn't overact or make creepy sex noises *looks pointedly at other audiobooks*
I'm actually looking forward to downloading the next part.
I also thought it might be a good idea to try out some heterosexual erotica for a change.
I actually had to turn it off half way through. The plot was cliched, the characters were boring, and the reader was awful. She kept trying to emphasise the sexy moments by using a "sexy voice" which instead sounded half camp and half creepy.
Oh and there was surprise!Twincest.
I'm not squicked by Twincest per say - but I do like to be warned beforehand.
Obviously I've been spending to much time in Fandom because I just assumed there would be some sort of heads up or warning that the book contained two brothers fucking our heroine.
Oh and I'm not sure whether I misheard but it sounds like one of the brothers says "Look at them firm TEATS". Which is just... so incredibly unsexy.
weepingcock would be proud
During last weeks YHBW - I turned to my brother and asked him if he could also see David Mitchell making *sparkly eyes* at Charlie Brooker.
He gave me a O.o face and insinuated that I am some sort of David Mitchell / Charlie Brooker tin hatter.
Dara O'Briain finds slash fic of him/Ed! My reactions:
3) DO WANT MORE.
At first I was like hmmm... they're not my usual 'type' but the more I watched the more I realised how awesome and adorably kinky they are together. And then I started reading fic and my mind was blown.
tl;dr: ... READ THIS FIC
